Glow plugs on the FIAT PUNTO (188) vehicles should be replaced on a cold engine to avoid burns. However, if the component won't unscrew, the engine is to be warmed up: due to thermal expansion, the glow plugs unscrew easier, thereby reducing the risk of damaging the threads in the cylinder head.
The components should be replaced in a set. Since the glow plugs installed on the FIAT PUNTO (188) vehicle have the same service life and work in the same conditions, then if one glow plug fails, the remaining plugs are most likely to fail shortly.
